Pediatric Physical Therapy Services Available From Euro-Therapies

Helping All Ages and Abilities Live Their Best Life

Euro-Therapies provides physical therapy services for pediatrics with the option to use the intensive therapy model as appropriate. Euro-Therapies also offers conventional pediatric physical therapy. Not all young patients require intensive treatment. However, they can benefit from our 20+ years of pediatric PT expertise to reach their milestones, strengthen muscles and joints after a sports injury, learn therapeutic exercises, and relieve pain through manual therapy while having fun!

How Euro-Therapies Differs From Other Physical Therapy Clinics

  • We offer specialized treatment programs that combine the best PT practices developed in the United States.
  • One-on-one physical therapy treatment.
  • One-on-one physical therapy treatment in individual rooms.
  • Private treatment rooms limit distraction and help to alleviate overstimulation with children with sensory impairments or behavioral challenges.
  • We have specialized equipment, including suit therapy, a universal exercise unit, whole-body vibration with Galileo, and fascia blasters.
  • Our therapists are invested in continuing to educate themselves by attending continuing education courses and assisting in educating future therapists while serving as clinical instructors for students.
  • We have two therapists certified in dynamic movement intervention and two credentialed by the APTA as clinical instructors.

Traditional Pediatric PT Process

Call to Speak With Our Front Desk Administrator

During this phone call, you will be asked for the child’s diagnosis, referring physician, whether you already have a script, what days and times you are looking for therapy, the preferred method of communication (call or email), and insurance information for verification.

Insurance Verification/Evaluation Schedule

Our front desk administrator will verify your insurance and contact you via your preferred method of communication to give you insurance information and schedule your evaluation with a PT.

Initial Evaluation

The PT will evaluate your child, which includes a review of pertinent medical history and goals for coming to physical therapy. The therapist will test a range of motion, strength, and functional abilities through formal testing, observation, and play. At the end of the evaluation, the therapist will summarize the findings and discuss the general treatment plan.

Intake Paperwork

Our front desk administrator will send a welcome email, including our intake paperwork. You can fill this out before your evaluation or arrive early to complete the necessary documents. The welcome email will include all information regarding the assessment and what is needed.

Start PT Services

Before you leave the initial evaluation, a schedule will be provided for follow-up treatment sessions. Your sessions may be with another therapist other than the one who conducted the review; however, all this information will be discussed before the services start.

Monitor Progress and Adjust as Needed

Our PT will monitor your child’s progress, complete progress notes every month that are sent to the referring physician, and adjust the treatment plan as necessary to ensure ongoing improvement and success.

Maintain Ongoing Communication and Collaboration

Effective PT relies on teamwork. Maintain open communication with your therapist to discuss any concerns or observations. Together, we can ensure your child’s journey is as successful as possible.

We Utilize Intensive Physical Therapy Effectively

Our most well-known intensive physical therapy program is a model of therapy that is most beneficial to help patients on the verge of new skills who are rehabilitating after a major surgery or procedure or would regress quickly without an intense about of therapy. Patients are seen five days per week for up to 4 hours for up to 4 weeks at a time. Before engaging in a home exercise program and/or traditional physical therapy, it should be short. Participation in intensive treatment requires an application and determination from PT to ensure it is a good fit.

Intensive physical therapy sessions often include using the Universal Exercise Unit, adaptive biking, Euro-Peds suit therapy, whole body vibration, training with assistive devices, massage, sensory integration, and tons of fun!

Fill out Intensive Application/Insurance Verification

To see if your child is appropriate for the intensive therapy model, we ask that you fill out an application, which can be found here. This application allows our Clinical Director of Physical Therapy to review your child’s case and decide the best program for your child. The director may reach out to you with further questions. Please provide your insurance information so our front desk administrator can verify it before their initial conversation with you.

Initial Contact With Front Desk Administrator

After filling out the application, you can expect our front desk administrator to inform you that your application was received and discuss insurance verification. Any initial questions can be addressed if the director has already decided, and they will be communicated to you now. If a determination is yet to be made, you will hear from our front desk administrator as soon as possible.

Intensive Scheduling

After the registration period ends, the team will meet to place registered patients in available spots.

Registration

Registration for intensives for the entire year occurs during the Fall prior. The registration form will be found here. If the registration period is closed, you can contact the office to see if any spots are still available.

Intake Paperwork

If we can place your child in a spot, our front desk administrator will send a welcome email, including our intake paperwork. You can fill this out before your evaluation or arrive early to complete the necessary documents. Information about the deposit required to reserve your spot will be available in this email. In addition, all information regarding the evaluation and what is needed will also be included in the welcome email.

The initial assessment will take place on the first day of the intensive unless another schedule is discussed prior.

Maintain Ongoing Communication and Collaboration

Effective PT relies on teamwork. Maintain open communication with your therapist to discuss any concerns or observations. Together, we can ensure your child’s journey is as successful as possible.

Start PT Services

Your treatment will start immediately following your evaluation (if evaluation occurs on the first intensive day). Your sessions may be with another therapist other than the one who conducted the review; however, all this information will be discussed before the services start.
